This event was organised by East Midlands Community Led Housing (EMCLH) as the latest seminar to bring a mixed audience together to consider how to support key aspects of community led housing initiatives in the East Midlands region.

This seminar gave a targeted focus to the promotion of opportunities for ‘self-build’ activities to be undertaken by individual households or by groups in ways that could enable them to engage with their own projects, even if they are starting from positions with only modest incomes or resources.

The seminar also invited ideas to come forward for how EMCLH might itself be more engaged with such initiatives, and how it could increase its impact on helping local stakeholders and statutory partners bring such opportunities forward.
