A public meeting for local people to discuss opportunities in the ‘community-led housing’ sector will be held at 10.30 – 12.30, Saturday morning on 11 November 2023, in the Queens Walk Community Centre, in the Meadows, Nottingham NG2 2DF.
The ‘community led sector’ can include housing co-operatives, cohousing neighbourhoods, community land trusts, self-build housing, and others – the common theme is that it is the work and achievement of local communities that has created new ways to meet local needs.
This meeting will provide examples of such initiatives and hear from East Midlands Community Led Housing, the regional-not-for-profit body established to enable such initiatives to happen, and from Pathways Housing Solutions, a Nottingham body working with local communities to meet housing need. There will be time for general discussion about such opportunities, and a chance to hear from other local groups currently working to create new opportunities in the Nottingham area.
